Already a Wood Badger?
If you completed Wood Badge prior to 2001, it is recommended that you consider Wood Badge for the 21st Century.

Why?
Wood Badge for the 21st Century is tailored towards contemporary American society. Its focus is people management and project management. The course teaches you contemporary management principles that are being practiced in corporate America and government organizations.  It will help you acquire the skills that are necessary to be good leaders in today's surroundings.

What does a Scouter who took both Wood Badge courses have to say?
Scouter Jim Dunkley took his first Wood Badge in 1956 at Gilwell Park in England.  He surrendered his beads and attended Circle Ten Council's Wood Badge 73 in 2004, completed his new ticket, and was beaded in May 2005.

What Jim Dunkley has to say:
"I learned a lot of new techniques, and srongly recommend the new course to those Wood Badgers who took the course in the old format. You will learn a lot of new ideas in Team Development, Leadership skills, Having Fun! Earning Patrol recognitions at Brown Sea Island etc....".
